About Us
Why We Do This
We're raving fanatics of all kinds of fiery foods - hot sauces, salsas, hot wings, BBQ and more. We'd love to help out our friends in the industry develop and promote their brands, so that more and more people will be exposed to the food we all dig. Even if you're not a sauce manufacturer or are not in the food business altogether, we can still provide any of the services we offer everyone else!
Okay, what's the deal with this "Captain Jolokia" superhero?
Scott was tossing around concepts in his head for the graphic design of the Bloggers Booth banner at the 2009 Weekend of Fire hot sauce show. One such idea was a "comic book" theme featuring a chile pepper or hot sauce-related superhero. Scott drew up a costumed character and dubbed him "Captain Jolokia", which he ended up putting on the banner.
Although no one during or after the show provided feedback to him positive or negative about this masked marauder, Scott loved the new character and wanted to re-purpose it for some other use. Could Captain Jolokia be licensed off to be used as a mascot on some company's bottle labels? Could Scott create a weekly or monthly web comic featuring the hero?
Scott decided that since he wanted to create a web/graphic services website focusing on the food biz that this would be an offbeat but opportune time to let Captain Jolokia live on.
